We can do this together!
The 2019 Go Red Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland. This 10th annual American Heart Association (AHA) event aims to educate attendees about heart disease and stroke in women and men while raising research funds to help educate, diagnose, and treat these diseases.
This year’s Luncheon is being led by Joan Fortin, Shareholder and Director of Attorney Recruiting with Bernstein Shur in Portland. Fortin and the Go Red committee are planning an exciting day with inspirational speakers, educational workshops, health screenings, an amazing silent auction, and a heart-healthy lunch with a goal to raise $375,000.
This event is open to men and women who want to make a difference in the heart health of their community. Together we can make a difference in the live of all Mainers.

2019 Go Red For Women Luncheon Chair:
Shareholder/Director of Attorney Recruiting
“Cardiovascular diseases, which include stroke, claim the life of a woman about every 80 seconds, making the category of cardiovascular diseases the leading killer of women,” said Fortin. “This event is the largest in Maine to draw attention to this issue by sharing information to help close the gender gap when it comes to women’s unique warning signs and lower survival rates, and it also raises critical funds for Cardiovascular research. I look forward having this platform to educate both women and men on how to prevent heart disease and stroke, both of which have levied a heavy toll on my family.”
